Gin enthusiasts, brace yourselves! Italy is hosting a brand-new festival dedicated to the world of gin. The inaugural Campania Gin Fest will take place at the beautiful Eremo dello Spirito Santo in Pellezzano on September 19th and 20th.
This two-day celebration is the brainchild of creators Alessandro Garofalo and Marco Rago, supported by local associations and the municipalities of Pellezzano and Salerno. It promises a cultural and culinary journey centered around this increasingly popular spirit.
What to Expect
The event will showcase 14 gin producers, primarily from Campania, offering both standard and premium gins. Adding to the mix, Tuscany's Il Borro will feature as a special international guest, introducing a different regional flavor.
But it’s not just about the gin! Seven food companies will be there, offering local specialties and live cooking demonstrations. It's a great opportunity to discover unique gin and food pairings.
Tickets and Details
Entry to the Eremo complex is free, but for the complete experience, tasting tickets are available for €25. These include two Gin Tonics, two gin shots, and a food selection.
Festivities begin on Friday, September 19th, at 5 p.m. with an opening ceremony. Following that, enjoy expert talks featuring the Salernitana Medical School and other industry professionals, diving into the world of gin.
Evenings will be enlivened with music. On Friday, enjoy a live performance by the NALTROSOUND BAND, and on Saturday, DJ Mirko Coppola will spin the decks.
As organizers Garofalo and Rago express, "We believe that the enchanting setting of the Eremo will provide an unforgettable experience for gin enthusiasts and newcomers alike, full of taste and enjoyment."
