If you’re a fan of great wine, incredible local food, and historic Italian settings, mark your calendar for October 23–26, 2026. Eruzioni del Gusto is returning for its 8th edition, taking over the breathtaking Reggia di Portici near Naples!
Organized by the cultural association ORONERO – Dalle scritture del fuoco, this four-day event brings together wine enthusiasts, foodies, and industry pros inside the historic halls of the Department of Agriculture at the University of Naples Federico II and the MUSA Museum.
With Naples already buzzing this autumn thanks to the prestigious America’s Cup regattas, Eruzioni del Gusto provides the perfect opportunity to dive into Campania's rich culinary and viticultural heritage.
What’s in Store for 2026?
Here is a quick look at what makes this year’s edition so exciting:
The International Wine Tourism Exchange (BIE): At the heart of the event is the BIE (Borsa Internazionale dell'Enoturismo), a B2B platform connecting local winemakers with international buyers and tour operators. It's designed to build bridges between the vibrant Gulf of Naples and the stunning inland wine regions.
Volcanic & Heroic Terroirs: Taste world-class volcanic and "heroic" wines! Expect stellar representations from Campania’s volcanic zones alongside wines from Mount Etna, Tuscany, and other top Italian viticultural regions.
Exploring the Inland Jewels: The spotlight shines bright on areas like Irpinia (home to Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino, and Greco di Tufo), Sannio (famous for Falanghina and Aglianico del Taburno), and Alto Casertano. Discover slow tourism, artisan cheeses, and high-quality olive oils.
Coastal Heroic Viticulture: Journey to the dramatic clifftops of the Amalfi Coast, Campi Flegrei, Ischia, and Cilento. You'll learn about ancient pre-phylloxera (piede franco) vines planted directly in volcanic sand and supported by UNESCO-recognized dry-stone walls.
Sustainable Seafood & Wine Pairings: Through the European FEAMPA program, Eruzioni del Gusto highlights the intersection of ocean and vineyard, uniting local fishermen, winemakers, and top chefs for seminars and tastings on sustainable seafood.
Stay Tuned & Plan Your Visit!
Supported by the Campania Region, the City of Naples, the Metropolitan City of Naples, and ENIT (National Tourism Board), Eruzioni del Gusto is set to be one of the autumn’s top cultural and gastronomic events in Southern Italy.
Whether you're looking to sample unique volcanic vintages or explore new travel itineraries off the beaten path, there’s plenty to look forward to.
